The Besnard Lakes - Volume I CD

2003 RELEASE - Our first album! All photography by Jace (4x5 camera!), who was fresh out of art school at the time. The female spy on the inside gatefold is our old roommate Amy. If you look closely you can see she is staring at a map of our beloved Besnard Lake, the real place! For those of you concert goers, you'll recognize the inside gatefold image was shot at La Sala Rossa, here in Montreal. The front cover is a photo of downtown Princeton, BC, where Oggy lived for a time, and where her family's restaurant was located. The building in the foreground is the Princeton Funeral Home, which has since burned down. Oggy and Jace played all the instruments on this first one, except for drums on Deep Desultory Dream, played by our friend Gilles.
