The Besnard Lakes Are the Ghost Nation colour variant splatter LP
Alright, get ready! It's the newest one and, well, we're really proud of it! This album characterizes the acceptance of the complexities of life, but with that razor thin tightrope walk still on the horizon. Starting with the cover art: a painting made by Corri-Lynn Tetz who is a stalwart in our world. It is a depiction of Jace's "island muse" - a particular island that he takes a photo of every year up at Besnard Lake. Todd Stewart, our design maven, puts on some spectacular sheen with his graphic design work as well. With Corri and Todd, there are none better to have on your side when you want to tell a story with visual nuance and sensibility. And of course we have the band: heavy grooves laying the groundwork with Kevin Laing (recently hitched! Kevin Vallaing shall we say); the bass thump and half-the-time lyrical vocal delivery of Olga Goreas; the master of big picture disaster (guitar, vocals, studio prowess) Jace Lasek; the guitar maelstrom of Jean Gabriel Lambert; and the keyboard wizardry of Sheenah Ko. My God, with an introduction like that, what more can you need!
